I love to fuck around in Ableton Live intro version (idk why i didn't just pirate it its so expensive).
one of my favourite things to do that i think everyone should try is just chucking lots of samples on top of
eachother to make something
totally new, its like making a collage of sounds.. (it's also a hell of a lot easier than composing a song,
i lost my compositional abilities when i stopped taking music at school in year 12)
im not gonna claim that anything i've made is any good, im not sure if i have ever really liked anything that i have made but the process is quite fun for me.
there is a wonderful film called Dredd (the reboot from 2012 with karl urban, not the stallone one) i find it enourmously inspiring from an aesthetics standpoint and i have a bizzare obsession over it.
I make all of these in 1-2 hours usually around midnight
